I have remembered a page Jim and Kev have sent around months ago. I think I will go shopping there as they offer B-stock 1210s for a reasonable price - Wohooo!

No you can't.

I've had my 1210 mk2's since 1997. Get them serviced once a year and they are as good today as when I first brought them :D
