Install the driver from the website. Right side.

It will be the most up to date. Current release is 2.0.4.

http://www.Numark.com/support/downloads/idj3

And unless I'm mistaken, there was a firmware update for the iDJ3 as well but you have to get that from Numark directly.

Or from this link on their forum:
http://community.Numark.com/Numark/topi ... sue_urgent

WARNING!!! They say this process to update the firmware is VERY TOUCHY and you have to follow the instructions EXACTLY. I'd talk with them first about the firmware issue before upgrading.

I have searched the forum for problems relating to IDJ3 no one can come up with a solution seemingly. I have posted pictures of my problems, given detailed information... emailed the developers (no help from them what so ever). If I cannot get this to work than they are false advertising their software. like i've said before i am tech savy, i understand how to set up the MIDI and its functionality. The driver that i installed was the one you just mentioned.. The driver i sent a picture of is infact 2.0.4. I literally was using the IDJ3 on my Imac desktop the other day before my imac crashed, was working perfectly.

My firmware is fine, works correctly with Cross LE. should do the same with CrossDJ.. the vast majority of users who updated their firmware on the IDJ3 ended up having useless pieces of equipment afterwards even with following directions.

What version of OS X was on the iMac?

It does makes a difference.

I suggested the driver because it shows firmware version 1.0.0. There was a firmware update for the iDJ3 which may help resolve this issue.

On the Numark forum I found multiple instances of where people's iDJ3's stopped working after they upgraded to Mountain Lion (OS X 10.7). The firmware upgrade supposedly addressed this.

And yes, I did see a number of failed firmware updates.

However, I was under the impression you couldn't have both Cross LE and Cross DJ installed at the same time. When you install Cross I thought it upgraded the LE install. I'll have to defer on that part to someone else who's more familiar with the products though.

I love how both Numark, and Mixvibes directed me to the forums. You all have been great in trying to help me but this needs to be handled by a technician or developer... im one highly dissatisfied customer right this second. I have the Cross LE on an external hard drive and Cross DJ installed on my macbook's internal HD.

note: On my Imac i was running same firmware as i am on my macbook pro with no problems

Sorry, not firmware - what version of Mac OS X were you running on the iMac?

I know the developers are in France and some of the other users are in Germany so that may be part of the reason for the lag.

So you've got MIDI into Cross but no audio ?
I'm sorry but you need to solve this before anything :

Cross simply read the available devices into the system. You need to see both devices (the soundcard and the MIDI) when going to

Does the iDJ3 show up as an audio device?

What about in:
Preferences
Sound
Output
Does it show there?

As you can't see there, Cross won't too. He cannot create/build a device, it simply use what is available.

What you can do is simply try to run the LE version and see if it works.
