anyone using denon x600 for Vfx or Cross video

is anyone using the denon x600 for video mixing

I have been testing MIDI mapping with a denon x600 with Vfx demo

I'v been having some problems with the wave-form in mixvibes Vfx

every time I move the fader or a knobs fast, the waveforms freeze & the faders & knobs freeze the software for a second...audio & video is not effected...

The DNX600 is not very good, I had similar problems and also I couldnt get the Asio driver to work with Cross.

I think the Firmware of the DNX600 has some issues with Midi-signal sent. Imo the midi-stream is too busy and also affects the audio-stream.

I use the X600 with both Cross & Vfx and it works great for me. But then again, I've only mapped the faders. I haven't tried a full mapping yet. I've also found that it works better with Cross on my PC than my Mac.

After more testing ,with Cross DJ 1.7 demo .

The MIDI mapping in Cross works so much better than Vfx with the denon x600 , no fader freeze & smooth as butter

Not going to use the USB sound card part off the x600 as the denon asio drivers are S**T ...
I will use it as just the MIDI and as audio mixer ...going to use a e-box as a 4x4 sound card with the x600

Can I set the cross-fader in mixvibes Cross to do video only ???..
Can one turntable control both A&B decks in mixvibes Cross.???..

I would like to use my Roland mc 808 as a usb MIDI controller/ MIDI sequencer for the Cross sampler ...can I use the 16 fader on the 808 to control the volume off all the 16 pads in Cross ...one pad & one volume fader for each sample slot in Cross

After using the magic search button
Seam like ,All I have to do is MIDI map a button on the mixer to switch from one deck to the other using one turntable...NICE..

If your not able to MIDI map the volume off each sample slot/pad in Cross that's no biggy ...can alway use 808 fader for other things in Cross like EFX's


Might be time for me to cash in some off that Karma I have been hoarding for Christmas
