Recording my mix

Postby James Brendan Udom on 18 Sep 2012, 18:13

I just downloaded crossDJ Free but can't figure out how to record my mixes in my PC (mac lapTop) in order to burn cds. Any suggestions?

Thanks Daniel. No record button on the preference panel. Don't know whether the pro Version will have one. I can't go pro pro cos I mix for personal pleasure and for my spinning classes.

If your not planning to use timecodes, and as you say it's just a hobby for you, I would recommend CrossDJ

You can also try using another external computer if you wish to record, or an old tape deck or a minidisk player....
Cross DJ is stupid cheap though, if you want to make it that much easier on yourself! ;)

This is all very good for mixing techies, but having recorded my mixes in CrossDJ, I want to burn them to CD, but can't find a way to do it. Thanks bereferret

You can google for CD burn programs. Many around. Most important is to check if it supports the method you want to use. E.g. 'normal audio CD' or MP3 CD.

There is a fair chance your PC was delivered with some kind of burning software.

I do like CdburnerXP
