iOS questions

Postby BennyB on 05 Aug 2012, 14:10

Hey guys. I think you can tell this easyer then other parts of the internet.

I'm about to get an iPhone 3Gs used. The question: Can I update the iOS on that for a newer version, or Apple won't allow me.

I don't really know how this works, I never had any iStuff.

The latest iOS for the iPhone is 5.1.1

The iPhone 3GS is compatible with this update. Take a look here

http://support.Apple.com/kb/DL1521

Just download and install the latest iTunes, then use iTunes to update the iPhone.

Once the iPhone is connected to iTunes, iTunes should detect the latest iOS software available for your iPhone and start the download and install process.

You shouldn't have any problems, unless the iPhone has been blocked in anyway.

Jims right on the money  ;)
Just a heads up -just got my partner a 3gs around 4 months ago, and the antenna reception is no where near as good as a i4, or even my old Samsung galaxy s1.
Cheers

I'm just flirting with the remote app... planning to get one onto the iPhone I guess :)

Is it impossible to use CROSSDJ iOS app on iPhones? Or it only works on iPad?
