Talk about gear, music, shows or anything you'd like.

It seems that many of like to chat on the forum, sometimes at the cost of a topic or two! I thought it would be a nice idea to have a topic where we can chat about absolutely anything, have a bit of fun, and probably a few laughs too! The tattoo subject comes into my mind straight away! But apart from that little subject, I would like to share something that happened to me last night. I had a regular monthly gig at a local sports club, which usually goes pretty well, and last night was good too. It was a special coktail night and we had a good crowd of people there. However, when the end of the night came, I had trouble getting my gear out of the place. The club is owned by the local Parish Council, and they are like dictators! As I was packing my gear away one of them came up to me and said that I have to get everything out of the room as they were locking it up in 10 minutes! As it takes at least half an hour to pack things away safely, rather than just throw it in the bags and boxes I told them that it wasn't going to happen! So what did they do? They waited until I'd packed it and then virtually ordered me out, saying that I would have to collect it the next day! It would have taken just 5 minutes to get it in the car! So guess where I was at 8.30 this morning... I absolutely hate leaving my equipment anywhere overnight!

Point taken. It varies depending on which person turns up. The one guy is great and even helps me load my gear into the car. The woman who turned up last night was just abusive and nasty! The Parish Council have got a very informative email waiting for them tomorrow! The club pays a hell of a lot of money to use the building, and thre is talk of pulling out of the club to find a new venue if the council don't change there attitude. And on a lighter note, if I'm getting a Mixvibes tattoo on the left cheek, should I get a HP one on the right?

Forget the pictures, it ain't ever gonna happen! Weird stuff happening with the large files though... Cross will now play everything, apart from 2 mixes that I use for backing tracks when doing karaoke. They are both approximately 4 hours long. Everything else is fine! It's not a real probelm if everything else plays - long mixes make me lazy anyway!

I'm not so worried. If it's just those two tracks then I'll stop using them. At proper live events I prefer to play the tracks as the audience responds - I only ever used them as warmup music anyway.

It seems that they don't like you listening to good music over there!
