to point out how many post are made on the same topic with out even one helpful hint or answer then locking the thread so no reply can be made this does not in any way help or reconcile technical problems or customer relations i do not appreciate buying a product to find problems in set up or compatability with os or sound card failures only to be told a useless bit of info i dont need if there is any one out there who actually knows what they are talking about or who is directly involved with the programing/distribution or technical support for this software/hardware then pls do help and if your not goin to be helpful or supply answershink or a conversation pertaining to further advice and help then just dont bother as it not only wastes my time but yours and everyone elses to!!!!!!

i have since updated to 7.4 but still no configuration for the inputs and outputs is possible and not showing the soundcard as a viable source to select in either the asio menu or the install wizard menu i have searched thread after thread but to no avail heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeellllllllllllllllllpppppppppppppppp please

What you write is out of respect. DVS is of course compatible since the first release of Windows7 and a lot of people here use it! It is a reliable software with more than 10 years of regular upgrade or updates.
Stay cool! Don't spam you will have answers but we aren't automatic answers system. We are human who needs like you respect.
Wait for workin hours your subject will get answers from developers or Mixvibes support.
As far I understand your setup is in conflict with other peripherical equipment or drivers. If your Windows don't see the sound card it's because the Os refuse to do the job.
U-Mix44 needs an audio driver included in Windows7. The official driver come first if it works than mixvibes U-Mix44 Asio driver works.
Question: Do you see your card in Windows properties?

thank u for your reply,
yes i can see all the relavant information for the U-Mix44 in playback and recording i have disabled all other drivers, updated to the latest version of mixvibes 7.4 and installed the driver ver.1.04 for the U-Mix44 i have it also show up in the asio config window in options but no inputs or outputs there or thru the install wizard window where they also need to be set for timecoding and as i have updated the software i checked compatability again but it tells me it is not once more its just a big pain and im at a total loss had it all most a week now and i have had no joy setting it or getting anywhere near to workin i am starting to think that the audio interface supplied is of substandard quality as i see alot of ppl have problems with it. although all the leds light up in correspondence with the left and right deck when they are in motion, its baffling as to why i cant get it to work as it should my laptops at its highest spec possible except for it being premium package win7 so i really am a stumped user :(

DJ Gabz wrote:I cannot get both of my outputs to work when using MixVibes DVS software. I have tried switching the numbers to 1 and 2 but sound will only come out of which ever deck is selected to number 1. when I try this on MixVibes Cross I can get both outputs to work but when I try this in DVS only 1 output seems to work.I have also updated everything but I still am having the same problem. Could someone please help me

thank you

If it works with Cross then it should work into DVS.
Settings should be like that :

DJ DGYGZRM8 wrote:my question is obviously to get this workin ie how to when the inputs/outputs are not recognised as U-Mix44 ??

my os is windows 7 premium-32/64bit 8gbram e2 vision amd 450's x2 radion graphics hd intergrated 1.65ghz on a samsumg rv515 laptop my problem is the absence of input and out put configs which show to be none at all i have sound in all test except i cannot select U-Mix 44 as a connection as it does not appear in any window to select it shows as asio configured but like i said as have others that the problem lies in the fact that it will not config in an input or output making it impossible to calibrate time coded vinyl or operate as i wish to here is the report as requested

You can't use the inputs/outputs of the U44 directly as individuals device, you can only use them thru the asio driver. So you need to select 'MixVibesAsioUMix44' as device.

EDIT : and set like in the other post viewtopic.php?f=350&t=23609&p=154623#p154623

That made no sense to me at all if i was able to do this i would have already the point im trying to make is that there are no options to choose this for from the initial preferences asio mode window in the mix vibes software it will only show as not connected when i know i already have and the same for the install wizard from the preferences window still 0 notconnected 1 notconnected so the pictures or descriptions you send do not help me along in this at all what on earth is this program all about one week with a product that should work str8 from the box that costs alot of money and all ive done is update this delete that scour the forums and internet for advice when i buy a product i really expect it to work from the box with the guide all i find is myself becoming more and more frustrated what on earth is there that can be done i sure would like to know.

i see absolutely nothing as described or depicted in the screen shots what-so-ever i get no option to select the sound card as an input or output only shows as an asio in that section of preferences im a fairly reasonable user of PC and laptop with intermediate skils and understanding of how things work especially audio and audio tech and i am stump as to why it wont work all i can say is windows troubleshooter expresses an incompatabilty report with mixvibes DVS so i say to you this once i have amended this why on earth does the U-Mix44 not work the way it should for the timecode; the reason i purchased in the first place i pulled another all nighter with i am unimpressed to say the least and am starting to think that this U-Mix44 device is either faulty or has no business being sold as part of the kit as it is more trouble than it is worth sorry but thats how i feel about the whole experience i have had so far any help to get this working would be greatly appreciated :(

Ok go to the sound options and do a screenshot of the different panels.
You must be able to fix channel 1&2 on left deck and channel 3&4 on the right.
If you don't see any channel... Again does your sound card is able to play youtube or windows media player.
If it works then we should help you to get rid of some kind of nightmares.
