Well, yeah. Truth. But some countries big DJ-s are celebs already, and hard to get among them. It's not about talent... it is about how much you pay...

I couldn't agree with you more. It's only publicists and TV shows that are keeping them famous. Reality shows just suck!

I was pissed of when reading the article, and what they wrote about DJ-s. Its not that simple, and yet most of the people, who don't know sh*t about DJing thinks the same.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who was annoyed at that stupid person writing the article. People should realise that djing is a skill that takes time and practice.

There is a guy on youtube name briansredd
That guy said that a DJ is a DJ for knowing: - What song he shloud play next - Why he plays it - How to mix it in - and why to put effects on and when
The rest, I mean the technical one (software, cd-s sd card, etc) does not matter. What matter is how good the DJ is, how good he interacts with the crowd and how well he know what to really do.
Otherwise people are just Top 10 chart mixers, or "robots", not DJ-s.

I see a lot of DJs, some good, some bad. To me, the worst ones just stand there playing the music at random, with no structure to the show and no continuity. I usually call DJs like that 'jukeboxes'!! Also, a good party DJ will put in the odd moments of chat to entertain the people, that's pretty good unless they chat on and on too much - that is just annoying.
