Buying A New Laptop

thanks and yes I know technical details about the iCore technology (the old and new one).

First one point. It is not only the CPU which is important so also the North/South Bridge chip like the Q57 or equal. These chips are the connection to any other connector on your notebook like USB or eSATA and so on. This chip is also important like the CPU and Memory speed.

I prefere an i5 >2,4GHz or an i7 >2,2GHz and I would prefere to use an QM67 chipset (very stable and for high performance most for i7 CPUs) but also an HM57 (Mainstream Chipset would be enough).

Memory is minimum 4GB for an Win7 x64 OS but I prefere 6 or 8 for better performance.

So if you need further information or a note to a special notebook you are looking at post it here and I will look over the specs.

I dont think it´s a bad choice.

To strentghen the confusion, I´m giving you another option that i considered myself with a dedicated nvidia-gpu and a water-proof keyboard just in case

I think the best DJ of the month should switch to a Mac : )

^I did take a longing look at the Macs, but that would have broken the bank!

However, I managed to find a really good Hewlett Packard laptop, with lots of memory and storage, and also with Beats Audio.

Hey Kev,

a good choise and should work fine with Cross. It is also possible to upgrade the memory to 8GB (removing the 2GB modul and replace with an 4GB)
But for me there are not enough USB 2.0 ports (only 2) so you will maybe need an active USB replicator to get access to more usb devices.
But all in all strong and powerful machine so have fun with it.
