DVS Ulitmate

Hello everyone I am new on here...and a bit new to forums in general. I purchased the Mix vibes DVS Ultimate..Running on windows 7. I using the U-Mix 44 sound card, have newmark TT1 decks and at present gemini mixer although I just bought Numark MK4 mixer today.
I have found that when i try to mix vinyl I need to keep callobrating one of the decks, and that after a few tunes or if I swap from MP3 to Vinyl mix-vibes stops working.
Also when I try scan tunes not all of the folder is being bought into mixvibes.. I did download the U-Mix sound driver yesterday.
I also read that somebody had to delete the driver and re-download? can anyone direct me to any updates I may need of any reasons why I am having these problems? I just get into a set and it crashes making me sad
I can mix MP3's through the mixer so it seems its on vinyl that it gets temperamental
All input would be really appreciated I only want this for home entertainment have a wicked collection of MP3's and vinyl and just want to play I dont want to have to take it back Thanks Woo

hey,

welcome to the forum and MixVibes products.

First please tell us which version you currently have installed.
Normal it should not stop working when enabling bypass on and off. (I had done this very often and never had a crash).

Second are the files all MP3 with constant bitrate or differ or maybe other codec?
Check this which files are not loaded which format do they have?

Thanks for your response, Im not sure which version I know this sounds stupid but on Box and on the CD rom just says Mix Vibes DVS Ulitmate?? Do you know how i find out?
I just changed the mixer to Numark mark 4, I had the issue again...I could not callibrate Vinyles was saying sound level too low yet worked yesterday?
...Played MP3's through mixer fine...Loading tracks is hit and miss some will play and some wont.
also the play button is not always responding. Ive also discovered that even after just scanning certain music files all my folders are being imported even though I only request one including stuff I do not want..How do i clear what I dont want out of mix vibes?
ive tried deleting when I close and come back in they are all there again...?
There are loads of things I dont understand and the little manual is very brief not as indepth as I would have hoped?

When you open the program go at the menu bar and press INFO then you get a box where all infos are.

To let us know how you setup please describe how you set up the connection between TT, Soundcard and Mixer.
Like TT1 connected to Soundcard INPUT 1/2
TT2 connected to soundcard Input 3/4.
Ouputs are going to Channel 1 and 2 of the Mixer.

Please press on both Turntables or CD player play and then create at the program an config report and post all information of this report here. This allows us to see detailed what could be going wrong.

To your Media issue. First please check which codec the not working files have and also you can scan special folders or all. after that you can also delet them from the list. if you have both songs in the same folder (i mean which you want and which not) you have to do it manuel because the program don't know which file it should take to the list and which not.

And we need technical information. without any of these technical information we can't do anything because we can not say whats going wrong without information. I can't play music files is only the problem but not which files like MP3 with 256Kbit/s and so on.

So please let us start with the version you run and the config report.

Thanks again for you speedy reply, I have an example of a tune that wont even scan...Mark Knight - Downpipe 270kbps it will not appear in mix vibes.
Do I have to Scan I-tunes library seprately as Downpipe is a i-tunes download which I also copied to this computer via my laptop?

I also have the USB on an extension lead (with a booster) into PC usb connection...First USB port on PC worked at first then stopped so I changed USB port to another. I also unistalled and re-installed the whole programme yesterday...

Are they iTunes original files? are them AAC codec or DRM protected? if DRM you can't play them and if aac you have to install a sperate decoder for it.

Why you connected them like you written? Why you switched TT1 and TT2? and also why you run Output 1 to the mixer and Output 2 to the Amplifier? If you want to mix with the external Mixer I would connect the second ouput also to the mixer and the Mixer to the Amplifier.

Christian Hi,
I just noticed another thing, I have to press view...Then find info under info nothing comes up...Under properties when I press on Mix-vibes icon it just says Mix-vibes DVS.LNK so none the wiser at which version....I bought this from a shop in Briston, why cant I find what version i have??????? Please help...as I cant download updates until I know Thanks x

Create a Config report there is also the version number.

Post the report here and we will see.
