MIDI or audio ? Knowing that MixVibes will provide an offical mapping I would like to share two ideas/questions for v1.6:
Still no MC6000 on my bench, sono official mapping for now. 1) Will Cross 1.6 support crossfader contour?
Not in the 1.6 2) Will it be possible to use the VU switch on the MC6000, so I can preview the volume of the cued song? (mapping the small bars which are located to the left and right of the faders in Cross)
Not sure I have understand this. Does the switch send MIDI ? Are the bar meters MIDI or audio driven ?

MIDI (Direkt Fader/Knob), if I enable "invert" the fader behaves the other way round (of course). Support@MixVibes wrote:Still no MC6000 on my bench, sono official mapping for now. Sorry, though you still have no MC6000 I should have explained it more detailed. The switch itself does not send MIDI, another button has to be used to switch the VU meter. All LEDs of the VU meter can be MIDI mapped. There is a value for each LED and chanel, meaning 10 values for CH1, 10 different values for CH2, CH3 and CH4 (makes 40 values for the VU meter). There is no value for "Master", so I thought the VU switch has something to do with enabling MIDI commands. But maybe I am mistaken. - Promille

Intersting thread (and my first post) as I have a 6000.
Did you ever sort the mapping and is there an area in which they're shared?

Hi everyone, I'm refreshing this threat, because as I can see some people bought the MC6000, plus MixVibes Cross 1.7.1 has an official mapping for the controller. In general I'm still happy with the controller, but my problem remained even with the official mapping: "The crossfader cuts off chanel A perfectly, but chanel B stays approximately 5% on." (OsX & Windows). Am I the only one having this problem? I checked this behaviour using the Traktor LE which came together with the controller. With Traktor the crossfader works well, so I don't think it is a hardware defect.

As far as I know MIDI mapping (I've been dooing some nowdays), I think, that is not a mapping faulty. If it is mapped as a direct fader/knob, then the CF in the controller can be wrong.
I think a varanty claim can be a good option now.
Let me explaind in short: direct fader/knob mean, that the fader or knob you move is actually a changable resistor on the controller, and a chips send through some DC voltage and measures it back on the other end. Then it converts the level into an 8 bit data (0-127 or 0 to 7F in hex, where 0 is absolute low, 128 or 7F is the maximum). Cross automaticly detects these value changes and moves the fader.
If the chip or the fader is faulty, it might not send the maximum (or minimum) value, so the controller might be faulty.
One thing you can try:
Duplicate the mapping, and open it up. In the mixer section find crossfader and delete the mapping. Try to map it up on one of the crossfader on one of the volumes (it shlould work) If you exprience the similar on volume fader using CF, then the controller is faulty.

Thanks for the advise DzsoniB! I tried the CH1 fader and got the same behaviour. While having an eye on it I also recognized that my 2 volume faders cannot reach the 100% too. Seems like Traktor is using another technique (not direct) to detect minimum and maximum of the faders. You are right, it seems like Denon/my reseller has some work to do on my controller. -Promille

Here is the answer from Denon: "No, its not a hardware issue. When using DJ apps, all MIDI characteristics of the MC6000 is controlled by the DJ app. So please contact MixVibes support about your fader curve issue." http://www.denondjforums.com/forum/inde ... =viewtopicSo they are playing the ball back to MixVibes. Any suggestions?
