Hey,

to clear the registry some advice: Editing the registry could create crashes so only use Programs to edit and before editing save the complete old registry.
A good program which also ask you to save the registry before editing is ccleaner. It is free and works very well so use this program to clean the registry.

To do the steps for testing if U46MK2 Driver will work:
Uninstall the current driver which is installed. (Uninstall the driver at Programs and Features) after that uninstall the device from the device manager.
UNplug the Device.
Do a registry clean up with ccleaner (save the old before!)
install the U46MK2 V3 Driver to a new location like C:\U46MK2\.
After isntallation it should ask you to insert the device and turn it on. Do it and press as often next up to the point the installer is finding the device and installing the driver.

Wait for finish and look if the Controllpanel is showing the volume control for every channel.
Please check also if some other usb devices are connected (maybee unplug them to get clear that there is no Power issue!)

Then you should be able to set the U46 at Cross.

Please do the following steps and report me what happens.
