Hey, from my side some technical aspects: Gamebooster was created to disable unused and memory used programs to get more for games at the XP area . At the new systems today you normal have more than 3GB main memory and like a minimum of dual core like the core2duo or i3 or better . Normaly it is enough to disable all unused background programs to speed up the computer. Take care that it is clean of unused and not needed programs and tools and drivers! This is better than using programs like Gamebooster to edit the configs. Now a detail about Windows 7 and iCores: Generall every multicore is doing its own managment of which program runs on which core. You can edit at windows or any other OS the managment but at the low level the cpu is doing its own thing! . The only thing you can do is to set under Windows the priority to programs that they get prefered at the Windows side of process managment (it is a bit more but too complex to explain it here - I have a 600page large book where you can read those technics ) When you edit those functions you can also destabilise your system! So J-Kut is right and I'm agreeing totaly whith him that you should don't do it. So what I prefere you to do only is to clean the memory (this is also not the best solution because it is not cleared realy it is only copied to the harddisk and the main memory is set to free, so when you need the information which is stored for not used at the harddisc you create longer reading times!) So upgrading the memory to more is better than running those things. So I hope we could clear some points. I will not say Gamebooster is not working or bad but it creates more problems with Audio software and it is better to keap the system clean and only for AUDIO then you will have no problem. regards Christian

Thx for having my back man! Another personal statement: I have 8GB Ram and completely disabled pagefiling, even with Cross, SSL, TSP, Firefox, Photoshop and Maschine up and running i hardly reach 5,6Gb. Plus no reading "ram"-files from the main-disc.

installed GB, havent realy ran it to see the overall difference ,understand its not going to be a perfect solution, dont have the resources to dedicate a comp for Cross alone, nor use it enuff or in a professional manner to justify the expences, just want to run U-Mix Control Pro and the future ver of Cross without problems, yes probly need to clean system of unused programs and driveres etc,,i think that step will happen when i decide to change os to win 7.understand completly the input and advice,,just going to see if this option is viable.because the expence is miniuin thanks for the info ,have catologed some of the parameteres that the system is running at, and will put the otheres up when i get them if i can get it back under the threshold of failure it will sufice till i upgrade the os
