Setup/Timecode Issue - U-Mix44

Postby Gizmogibbo on 28 Dec 2011, 14:57

Hi There,

Apologies for this being my first post. I've searched other threads to see if somebody elses problem matched mine but cant seem to find the exact issue.

Im new to Mixvibes and digital DJ'ing as a whole.

I have installed the software, also downloaded the updates. I have been into the sound settings to make sure they are all set to 100%

The Vinyl decks are plugged into 1 & 2 of the Input U-Mix44 and the output is going into my Mixer.

When I go to 'install wizard' it gets to the vinyl part and says that they are not calibrated properly. When I go to setting and try and calibrate the timecode is at 0%.

Vinyl 2 is not plugged in as Im sorting the settings for one before transferring over the setting etc.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

EDIT: Not sure if this helps but there a little lights on the U-Mix44 sound card, only the 'USB' one is lit the others dont come on.

hey,

is the turntable running when you calibrat the system? it looks also that your U-Mix44 is not installed correctly because it says that your one configured output is not connected?

Slightly better on the timecode = 85%MAX

The output coming from the soundcard is very distorted to the point where you can even make out the track.

the preamp is a bit high or is your turntable silent? how looks your timecode signal in the little box below at the vinyl section under preferences from DVS? can you see (depends on the settings a circle or two sinus curves)?

how sounds the sound from the turntable when you press bypass at DVS?

Mixer should be in Line and not phono.

I get two curves that follow each other

How can I adjust the preamp?

When I press bypass it just unloads the track..

How can I correct this?

Your hardware (IRL) mixer should accept the sound from the soundcard on line inputs, like a cd player, not phono ones.

Your settings should be like the player 2 in my picture for both of your deck :
U44_2.jpg

and also check volumes into Windows :

Thank you guys for all the support, think I'm almost there, have 99%\100% on the timecode.

Just having a slight issue with output now. The sound plays but every now and again it stutters, even when I use the bypass function (using vinyl)

It seems to happen whatever program I use ie media player etc so I gather it must be an issue with the U-Mix44 software.

I've updated all the software from the forum.

Can anyone shed an light?
