nightmare

newbie having a nightmare!
i have a mixvibes DVS on my laptop with the sound card set up to my djm500 mixer and my cdj1000mk1's
i have noticed that the cue button on my cdj will start the tune but will not reload to the start when released, but stays at the same point like a pause button but the disc goes to the start. this then puts every thing.if you use the platter to rewind back will only rewind until the disc gets to the end but the file on the laptop has not got to the end.
i was hoping this would be alittle more user friendly and be set up within a few minutes but its been hours now and still got nowhere with it.
on other thing i noticed is the calibration will not stay set. the input level is high and i lowered the gains to stop hitting the red but still clip.
please help me before this mixvibes unit ends up in the bin!

1.) Check if the play mode is set to "Absolute", NOT "Relative"

2.) It is totally usual that the bar in the software stays at the position you left the finger from the play button. There is no further timecode coming and so the software interprets it as if the track stops. If you press play again, the track starts from the beginning / cue point (if the play mode is set to absolute!)

the mode is set to absolute but the player deos not return to the start.... you say the timecode thinks the disc has stopped and should return to the start but it doesnt...

Read me properly!

Press Cue, let it play a few seconds, leave the finger from Cue => the CD is located at the beginning of the track, the bar in the software is NOT => this is usual!!!

If you press Cue again the CD starts from the beginning and the bar starts moving/playing from the beginning too!!!

I have let the tune to play with the cue button down and when you release the button the mixvibes stops. the cdj re-cue's the disc but the mixvibes stays in the same spot as where you release to cue button.
the other thing i noticed is that the loop buttons dont work too but to be fair i dont use that much.
when you calibrate the player by moving the platter it will read 100% then press the cue button a few times it goes to 0%
i'm really hating this system now as it seams that there is no real tech support.
this is my set up report.

Thanks for "there is no support here" it's not fair for the moderator who tried to understand.
For me you just have a driver problem.
Reinstall DVS and U-Mix44 carefuly.

The input volume is as high as possible, decrease the input volum in the Audio Control Panel, afterwards it will work. And please: READ ME PROPERLY! The first paragraph from your post says the same that I have explained as usual and you worry about it being unusual.
If you feel that DVS is no good system then return it instantly, otherwise I am still willing to help you, even if you have punched me into the face without any reason!

Steve
