Cross 1.6 vs DVS 7.4

Postby superdj4life on 11 Oct 2011, 20:57

i'm wondering if it's worth the upgrade? if so, why? what features are better/worse etc.

also does anyone know there any more updates coming for the DVS platform?

from my experience Cross has the following pros:

-better sound (scratching and better key-lock)
-better library management
-better vinyl-feeling

But it still lacks:

-sampler
-support for more than 2 deck

imo it´s worth the upgrade, since you can still use both and choose for which occasion.

good point on using both. i'm wondering about the media management. in your opinion what makes library management easier/better in Cross. i've been collecting for a while now and after almost 5 years in DVS i'm a bit reluctant to try something different.

also has anyone heard anything about the future of DVS? is it being upgraded to 8.x is it being replaced by Cross? will the two product line be integrated into one package? i don't want to put my eggs in the DVS basket just to find out it's being phased out and i should have upgraded.

Agreed!!!

However, DVS has a better effect section and automatic bass mixing. I rally like flander bubbles :D
