the solution is in the reply fron chris, you have to turn off the windows sound sceme as stated above, there postings prior to this listed by search tab under Ding sounds delt with this issue myself when first updated to home 7

something doesnt seem right, are you shure that the sounds sceme was turned off, if there is a apply tab on the changes did you change it and not apply them, question are you updated to the latest version (not that i think it will be different in the aspect,), was the problem present at the very begining, have you looked at the previous posting and maybe see more info to help you sort it out,, bout to pause and boot up home 7 to see whats going on,

some thing is weird, just went to home7 turned the sound scheme back to windows default , got the dinging sound when scrolling and also when dragging and droping tracks to the player went back and went to no sounds in the sound tab of the playback tab of the sound config, no dinging, ,,,try right clicking the speaker icon on the task bar to get to the playback option, dont forget to hit apply ,,

so our efforts deserver a brief explanation of what was wrong,or a bunch of karma

well you have DVS and that just the grown up version of home 7, enjoy the headphones though you might want to use the usb sound doggle also,,,i use mine to monitor the mix in Cross works good in the setup i use. no t/c just use the program and internal and usb sc (homes sound doggle.)..pick up Cross upgrade from the down load shop as well the upgrade runs a bout 100 dollars (usa).unless you have plans on moving to U-Mix Control Pro,,, damm so many options
