I prefer Windows 7 for DJ-ing... It uses your RAM more, if you turn down pagefile or virtual memory (Hard drive) usage. I also use an external drive to store m music and playlist files, so it will save a bunch of HDD and CPU usage...

Urgh, that leaves me thinking, 'oh Word censored (guess you find it I love walking on it)'.

I had no idea the UMX46II was a USB 1.1 device. Not to mention not being aware if that issue.

Guess I'll have to wait and see.

In that thread you talk about replacing the UMX46II with a USB 2.0 audio interface. What if you used a USB 2.0 hub between the interface and the laptop, could that possibly solve it?

This is turning out to be an expensive hobby...

Edit: Oh wow. I just re-read this thread. You guys warned me off the I-core processors. I am amazed that I managed to forget this and end up with a laptop that is the most incompatible with the audio interface I have. Feeling pretty fed up rig
ht now. My only hope is Nood, who says his i3 works fine.

yeah, me too...

I´m currently selling my iCore laptop cause i cant properly use it for djing.
Games and (post)production are running great, but there really seems to be an huge issue with data-streams via usb (even 2.0 as I just encountered, if damn Word censored (guess you find it I love walking on it) keeps going this way, I´ll need some proper anger-management soon)

Expensive :!: :?: :!: :!: :?:  :!: :?:
boy, Word censored (guess you find it I love walking on it) costs a fortune....
if I´d stayed with regular
vinyl I´d probably have a Porsche by now

Right, as a cheap solution, does anyone know if the following product:

http://www.woodbrass.com/en/numark-ster ... af833.html

Is

A) definitely USB 2.0?
B) compatible with Cross?

For £30 it would be a reasonable solution.

Edit: please ignore this post, a closer look at the hardware suggests it isn't.
