[TUTO] How to use Novation Nocturn and MixVibes

Hey @ all,
this thread is for all desperate users they would like use the Novation Nocturn MIDI contoller for MixVibes DVS



it´s a little bit tricky to configure the controller on MV, but it´s not impossible

The first step:
install the Automap Server Software and MixVibes following start the Automap Server and MixVibes (if the controller instalation correct then is speed dial illuminated )

Second step (Nocturn config):
- rightclick on the automap symbol (you find the symbol on your taskbar)

-> MIDI Channels -> select one (e.g. 1)
-> MIDI Input Port -> select Mautomap MIDI
-> MIDI Output Port -> select Mautomap MIDI

- on the nocturn controller

-> push the user button -> select corresponding MIDI Channel

Third step (MixVibes config):
- Settings -> Options -> MIDI

-> Activate: set check
-> Device: Automap MIDI
-> MIDI File: NEW
-> OK

- Now you can use the "Learn" function for your personal settings.

thanks Rob, wish i could lay my hands on one of those to test the mapping. I'll ask novation to send us one

this same process works for the launch pad also
within 15mins i have locations mapped and the sampler mapped out also
just buying automap pro so i can send keyboard commands and it should also work with Cross.

This is great! would it be too much trouble to ask for you to post your launchpad config file as well?
