Recording device for mixes

Postby defjam01 on 10 Jul 2011, 21:49

Hi everybody,

since i dont want to use a second PC for the recording of my music-mixes anymore i want to buy a small device that i want to put between the mixer-output and the amplifier to record my mixes into mp3. The device needs to forward the music from the mixer (chinch-input and chinch-output needed!) to the amplifier.

Do you have any suggestions? The device should not cost more than 200 Euro.

Kind regards

You dont wanna use your PC´s in, do you?

I´d get a little desktop mixer (e.g.small Mackie) and a seperate AI (min. 24 Bit/48KHz)

If you want a AI only, look for something with "zero-latency"-monitoring and use that signal to feed to the pa.

This seems like a good solution. It fits in the budget. The product seems to have good reviews!

American Audio Pocket Record: Wav or mp3 recording. SD card up to 32GB. 2 1/4 inch line/mic/guitar inputs with gain knob, but sensitive inputs, so don't put too much level on them. You can playback your mixes from the device, and it's easy to navigate it.
You can also connect dynamic mics directly to the recorder (into the 1/4 inch inputs) and while it's recording both mics, it can record both the left and right into separate tracks in the same time, and as I know you can monitor your recording, from a 1/8 headphone jack...
NiCD/Nimh Battery or alkaline powered (battery selection for different battery types)
USB connection with PC, and charges also via USB.

About a $100 or $150 u can get one:)

Probably if you got a Record output on your mixer, good solutin 'cause of the ability of setting input levels:)
