Deck B distorted, any ideas? [Solved]

Postby Rimfire on 20 Jun 2011, 20:27

I hate for my first post to be asking for help but I've tried everything I can think of. I actually have two separate issues but I believe I've found an old thread to solve my cue/sound issue (still reserving the right to ask questions later!).

Please bare with me.

So... I've searched and found this thread: viewtopic.php?f=268&t=20378&p=126899&hilit=distorted#p126899

I set up exactly like this originally and ONLY the second deck sound was distorted. Of note, I just got the Cross Pack in the mail today and previously I have not experienced this issue with my set up.

Then tried using the line settings on my tables like here:
viewtopic.php?f=268&t=15646&p=125447&hilit=distorted#p125447

I have non-distorted sound coming out now but I have to turn the channel level, channel gain, and master volume almost all the way up to produce regular volume levels.

I do not believe it is the channel 2 input on the sound card, the ground, the calibration, my needles, my mixer (although admittedly that is a P.O.S.).

I'm out of troubleshooting thoughts and I really think it's something simple I'm just overlooking. Any ideas?

I apologize if I left out any necessary info.

Hey,

Look at this for more information: viewtopic.php?f=268&t=18922

after that you can also download newer Version of your software and so on. We also can see which software you are using.

EDIT: otherwise when it will not work contact support@mixvibes.com or one from the MV Team like community@mixvibes. They can help your with your issue when the serial is not working

Thanks Christian but I just realized why it won't save.
"x-x-x-x-x : serial already used"

This is used and the previous owner said he would transfer the serial to me through you guys. I forgot about that. So I suppose I need to wait to get support until he does that?

Do you know the forum name of the other user? or got you an bill for the software you bought from him?

You can contact then the support and describe your issue like the user xy has already registered it and I bought it from him and now I want to register it and so on. They can help you then.

I've made contact with him actually so I think he'll take care of this for me very soon. I'll be patient and come back later when he's taken care of it.

btw - your support is awesome. I've never been to a forum and actually had responses is such a quick time.

Thanks. The support here at the forum is a special combination. I like the concept of the MixVibes team. They have some developers how helps people here and there are other mixvibes users which helps others their products working.
I'm the second one, I'm a user of MixVibes and love to work with it. I also love to help others to get their product working.

HIOOOOOOOO.

This is actually the guy that soled, it was excellent while I used it, and I think it's pretty much right up there w/ SSL and Traktor Scratch (the later one I think being overall one of the best, esp w/ the effects, but MixVibes Cross, if 1.6 brings customizable interface ala Traktor, that'd be an epic feature already on top of one of the best DVS systems out there right now, next to Traktor and SSL ofcourse, but it's killer that Mixvibes is getting better and better too, alongside SSL and Traktor)

Anyways can N-Deep or someone transfer my serial key on this profile to Rimfire's? I request that it be "reset" and I thought the key was sent to him when I shipped it so I thought that'd all be taken care of, but it's all good.

And for the distortion man, here's my thread that was about that same issue (I think): viewtopic.php?f=309&t=19499

Check your grounds, too?

He's probably sent the message already.

Funny thing is, the damn thing is working flawlessly now! ha.

Maybe I didn't follow the directions correctly from the second thread I found. Long day at work and it's after 11pm here. I made a couple adjustments between the soundcard input settings and my mixer and it works. It only took me about 4 hours!

Now time to sort this cueing issue out.

Mods - feel free to close/lock or kill this thread with fire. :D
