Postby evahtola on 06 Jun 2011, 12:13

Hi!
Is there a way to use my turntables & mixer (play vinyl records) hooked up with u46mkII , but u46mkII not connected to my laptop?

I'm on DVS7

Thanks.

No! This is what the bypass button is for. If you want to play "real" vinyl just clikc on the bypass button and you are able to play records. If you want to continue playing mp3s (or other digital music) just enable the bypass ;)

OK thanks Steve.
Would be a lot easier though if I wouldn't have to open my laptop everytime I wanna listen to records.

I know what you are talking about! First when I was into DVS I thought so too and bought the "Native Instruments Multicore cables" http://www.thomann.de/de/native_instrum ... ix8_dj.htm . All Traktor users don't have such a bypass button from what I know (maybe the new v2 has it?) and this is why NI created and sells these multicore cables with which you are able to play records without the need of your interface.

No problem! Please be aware that you need two of them!!! One package for each deck! When I bought the cables the seller told me that one package is enough. When I got home and connected everything I knew that it is not :D

Hey

yes but I prefere you a cheaper variant. You can by tough T-cinch connectors and split your signal from your turntable to the U46 and one to the mixer. Like this: http://www.amazon.de/tech-Cinch-T-St%C3 ... B00282TLX0 but I got them for only 99cent each one. For two turntables with second cinch cables I spend only 5€ and it is working perfect.

regards
Christian

PS: in germany reichelt is a very cheap service where you can get them.
