Headphones to PC setup

Postby clintbong on 06 Jun 2011, 08:35

hi guys, im hoping that this is an easy question to solve for you guys.
So i have bought the Mixvibes U-Mix Control 2 that fits into PC via usb, and i was able to get it working correctly with the PC and software and plays and mixes perfectly, but my problem now is i cant get headphones to play anything? i have XP machine with onboard sound card and a just normal speakers plugged into green port. do i need a internal soundcard with extra ports( if so what do i need to look for) or do i need special external Mixvibes sound card?
thanks for your time,
Clint

in order to get headphones work you need to have more than just one output of a soundcard (or a second soundcard and use asio4all to get it work with Cross DJ) in your computer. if you already have one with just one out then i suggest getting a cheap usb stick (like the one bundled with mixvibes home edition, or a soundblaster one, etc, use google to find a proper one that fits your needs) if you re just a bedroom DJ; for gigs its definitely more worth getting a pro soundcard with multiple outputs!

In addition to the very well info boc posted:

If you have bought another one-channel audio interface you can configure both audio interfaces with the software ASIO4ALL. This allows you to use both channels in Cross DJ LE.

Have fun with the UMC2!
