Vfx mediabase crash when adding media

Postby thriftshopxl on 24 May 2011, 11:24

Hello again,

Whenever I try add over 321 videos Vfx crashes and quits.

I can add folders of videos, but mediabase crashes as soon as the total amount of videos is 321.

Initially, I tried to add over 1,400 videos in mpeg2/vob/mpeg4 SD format but Vfx crashed at one particular video each time. Then I removed this video from the folder, restart Vfx, scan again & this time it crashes at the video AFTER the one I removed.

Trying a few more times and removing more videos, I realised it was always stopping after 321 videos.

I then made separate folders containing less than 300 videos each and guess what? As soon as the overall total reaches 321, mediabase crashes Vfx.

Is this usual? Am I doing something wrong? How can I solve this?

This is a clean install of Windows 7, latest updated version Vfx after ky issues with the controller last week.

What do you guys think is the problem?

All advice and help appreciated.

I think this is the issue thanks - Still working out best file formats for my mashup video DJing.

VOB/MPEG2 doesn't like looping and gives horrible video glitches due to lack of actual frames so I may have to try MJPEG next...
