Wont allow me to select U-Mix Control Pro from dropdown menu

Ok so I tried on a PC using eindows xp and it worked straight away after I installed the software from the disc. I also made sure that it doesnt turn off during energy saver mode but still no joy!

Im really depressed now, can anyone think of any other reason it would say device unplugged?

Whats your laptop´s cpu? is it an i-core?
they handle usb quite differently than "regular" dual-cores.

Im still having no luck with this, I spoke to a Tech support company and they suggested that the unit was too powerful for the laptops motherboard. Has anyone else had this problem?

If so you can try using a power adapter for the U-Mix Control Pro. My former laptop (Core2Duo @2GHz,1GB RAM) could handle the U-Mix Control Pro without any problem. Try the power adapter to see if your tech support is right.
