I can't wait getting a Control Pro, because I failed on two cjd800s tonight, couse not too many finctions...
And if I just look at the size, and the amount of cables, I would say no.

The problem is that in Hungary, Club owners prefer CD, 'couse they think DJ's can only play music, and can't plug their own device next to the CDs in a mixer...

I walked up with my laptop in a club when they held a small DJ competition, and the guys asked what am I doin? I said I'll mix with this. He watched how I easily set up the Laptop and the U-Mix44 soundcard, plugged to the mixer. The crowd just watched how I mashed up two track playin with the hotcues, simply abused my keyboard, and I rocked it up, although I got many limits with my current setup.

So I would definitly enjoy mixing with a Control Pro.
One bag for the Laptop and cables, one thin rack for the Conrol Pro, and I have everithing with me, in about maximum 6-7 Kg of package...
And crowd pwned, pocket filled, and gone home happy after the party :D

In the past few days I was scratvhing my head about one thing:
Yet the U-Mix Control Pro is NOT a PRO device. The reason for this is that this controller does not have a balanced 6.3 mm Jack or XLR output. Hooking it up to a professional PA system was hardly sucessfull for me on the last week gig, so we needed to get an another mixer between the PA and the controller:(

I just got mine yesterday, and the only qualm I have with it is I wish the master/cue pan control had a bigger, easier to grab knob. Also, the location of it isn't the best place for it. If I had to decide, I would move it to the top of the controller and move the crossfade curve knob to the front.
Other than that, its a great, compact solution for when I play out, rather than bringing my vinyl, and my soundcard, and my laptop, and my external hard drive.

Well, you can set the Xfader curv in the software. You'll need a mouse to it, but try finding it.

Is it something you change very often? I am no developer but I think that the team put everything you do not need to change very often on the back of the controller i.e. crossfader curve or touch sensibility. There is always a reason for it ;)
