There was no content on the CD rom, flash files etc.
Is that right?

Yes this is normal, we will be soon adding content on our CD's and DVD's.

Also is there already flash type effects included in software?
Or do i have to source some myself? Where do i start looking for those?

Hi DeanoC,

I've had similar experiences to you with Vfx not working. I got mine about three weeks ago and it was fine at first, then stopped working. You can read the saga here:

viewtopic.php?f=268&t=20362

The support network here was very helpful but I think it may have been something to do with me uninstalling VDJ/Hercules RMX after installing Vfx, but not sure....

Anyway, Flash stuff:

I asked on this board about getting access to the supplied SWFs in the update as .FLA Flash project files so that I could rework them myself & MV kindly posted the Flash project files here:

viewtopic.php?f=279&t=20248&p=126013#p126013

Bear in mind you need FLASH to open them and they WILL NOT run in Vfx without being published as SWFs

When you eventually get your serial woes sorted out and can update your Vfx software, you'll find the SWFs in your Mixvibes Vfx program files folders on your C drive.

Later this week, I will be posting my first attempts at Flash for Vfx on here so keep your eyes peeled.

I hope your issues get sorted out soon - You'll be so glad you moved to Vfx once you see how amazing it is and all this will seem like a dim and distant memory.

Thanks for the info.

the only reason i got the package, is that i looked at it a little while ago, then forgot about it as it was to much money.
I Seen it a couple of weeks ago at a nice price (Just over £300).

One of the reasons i went for it, as it seemed to have more content eg flash etc over the PCDJ VJ, and VDJ i have used before.

I currently use traktor scratch pro, and was wanting a 'video' product to work alongside, as we have numerous screens in the bar i work in.

I was looking at serato as a replacement for Traktor, as traktor dont offer video, but looking at seratos plug in id didnt seem to offer much.

I just hope Vfx is great for what i need after sorting out these niggles.
