Wont allow me to select U-Mix Control Pro from dropdown menu

Hi

I have installed the most up to date Cross DJ software and the drover 1.0.3 for the U-Mix Control Pro. It does show up in the list of options under audio ( primary sound driver is what it is automatically selecting) but it wont let me chose the U-Mix Control Pro option ( nothing happens when I select it)

Would appreciate any help, just got my U-Mix Control Pro delivered today and dying to use it

Usually when you are choosing the "U-Mix Control Pro ASIO DRIVER" it might preselect some important audio setting i.e. input and outputs. If not please do the following:

1.) Choose the U-Mix Control Pro ASIO DRIVER
2.) Click the drop down menus of the outputs and select 1/2 as Master and 3/4 as Cue
3.) Click the drop down menu for Routing Mode and select Dual Stereo
4.) Start using your U-Mix Control Pro

Thanks for replying so soon.

My problem is though when I click on U-Mix Control Pro ASIO DRIVER to choose it nothing happens and it reverts to the PRIMARY SOUND DRIVER.

I just tried choosing it with the device itself turned off and then I get a message telling me to turn it on. When I do it does the same as above.

Any ideas what I can do?

It is not installed properly from what I can read out of it. It is recognized by the software but can not load the driver or someting like that. Can you reinstall Cross DJ and the U-Mix Control Pro? Please do a proper reinstallation! This means:

1.) Deinstallation of Cross DJ and the U-Mix Control Pro driver (from the system preferences)
2.) Use CCleaner, a free software tool, to delete all left registry entries too. BEWARE: Save your registry as the programme suggests so that you might reload it when there are errors.
3.) Reboot
4.) Reinstall the software to a DIFFERENT location on your harddisk! Was it once installed to "C:\program files\mixvibes" please use C:\program files\Music\Mixvibes" or something comparable. This will "delete" left links.
5.) Try Cross DJ with the U-Mix Control Pro

Hi Guys

I have tried all of the above a couple of times now and its still the same. When I click on the desktop icon for the U-Mix Control Pro the box is slightly greyed out and says " device unplugged" Is it possible there is something faulty in the unit as I am at a loss as to what else could be wrong?

Hey,

when you plug in the U-Mix Control Pro and turn it on is there any ligh flashing? And when you have an other computer you can check if it is there working.

If it not works it could be that the unit is faulty.

Yes the lights flash when I turn it on and the power light stays on on the unit. I will try check it on another computer though. Is there any other settings on my laptop that I could change? Im using windows 7

Hey,

you can check if your energiesafer is not aktivated and so on. This can cause problems. When you go to the device manager and there to your device U-Mix Control Pro you can set at energie that this device should not deactivate to save energy.

Ok so I tried on a PC using eindows xp and it worked straight away after I installed the software from the disc. I also made sure that it doesnt turn off during energy saver mode but still no joy!

Im really depressed now, can anyone think of any other reason it would say device unplugged?
