Kind of a basic question...

Postby Alpharius120 on 13 Apr 2011, 06:15

I bought a Numark iDJ3 chassis and have been trying to set up the MixVibes Cross software which came with it, but my software won't register my chassis. My preference panels have no MIDI panel and I have no idea what to do. If anyone can help, that would be great. I can provide more information if need be.

The licence key is not the serial number of the chassis. It is the code on the cd sleeve.

So I registered the license key and put down what copy I'm using and such. But yes, I'm not sure if I need to buy headphones to get the software to work, due to the fact that I haven't really seen anything addressing that issue. I've seen things discussing plugging in directly to my sound card, but I'm not sure how I would do that. I'm running this on an Asus Laptop, if that makes a difference.
Do you need more info?

Also, I feel like, by reading all the posts on here, I might not have gotten all the cables I need. I have the USB plugin, and that's it. Should I have some other ones that come with it, or is that all I need?

yes, you will need headphones for djing (not to get the MIDI part of the software work but for cueing the tunes)
and no, you dont need any additional cables. where would you plug them anyway? theres only 3 place on you controller to plug cables: the headphone output, the usb which goes to your PC and the master output what should be plugged to an amp/active speakers/etc

You only have one thing to do : install the drivers first as it is written everywhere in the product.
Then plug your speakers and your headphones on the controller.
