Vfx Control Not Working!!! PLEASE HELP

I bought Vfx Control and the program works but I can only control it with the keyboard. The MIDI Controller isnt working. I even bought a new laptop bc I love MV so much and hate to stop using it.

The laptop I bought is a compaq Presario CQ62-413NR and just bought MV Vfx March 19th. I even installed the update from the forum. Can anyone please help! I go to preferences and select it on the settings but it still wont function with it.

Is the Vfx Control recognized by your system i.e. does it appear in the device manager? Does it appear as a audio interface in your system preferences?

do you really think opening multiple threads on your problem would solve it faster? i guess no

so i recommend posting some specific error messages / bad controller behaviour that occur instead so the mv team would have any idea what s going on on your system

Do you have any lights on the controller unit ?

power button blue : controller is off
leds traveling : controller is in sleep mode
everything off : controller is awake and waiting for software

I bought a new laptop and returned the old one. SO now I got a Dell Inspirion N7010, all that stuff works and I can control it now.

The only issue I have now is that I can only hear sound from one output. My old MV I was able to control the sound from my own mixer. This one just comes out of one channel. I would like to use two channels. When I set up the sound card under the preferences it doesnt give me the option to choose more than one output. Its wither the Vfx or direct sound from the computer.

Thanks for all the support and help steve and adam!! I appreciate you guys writing me back. Any help works. I love MV and dont wanna change bc of some thing that might be over looked or can be fixed

remove autoconfiguration

set as follow

vfx_audio01.jpg

then route each deck to a different output [1] and [2]

Thank you so much everyone for your help! That worked but now I hear static from the sound or from the speakers. I tested the speakers and they were fine with another audio. I was controlling it fine and practicing fine but after about an hour everything turned to static sound. Is there an update for Vfx I need? Or am I just having bad luck?

There is a firmware update but you would need to service it back to us.
A workaround is to use an active usb hub.

It happen with motherboard that can give enough power on the usb port.

You could do it yourself (flashing the device) but on some computers it doesn't work.
What exact computers do you own or have access to ?
