Hi Christian;

No problem on the questions... the fact is that 512 is what would work. I have a machine on Windows XP using an older driver and sure enough all is well... the new driver (3.0) usind the Radius 3000 units as MIDI controllers won't give me good audio and does not give me the choice of higher than 288. I doubt anyone would notice too much between 512 and 288 but apparently there is a difference in audio quality and I can re-create it with both systems with both drivers. As soon as I go down to 288 and below I get bad audio. 512 seems to work alright.

Hey,

yes I started my sound computer and check what the biggest latence is which I can set. I can also set it max to 288. But you can also set the Buffer bigger? Have you checked this? set the buffer to the maximum like 9?

regards
Christian

Hey there. I have one more question. when I set my buffer to 9 it definitely helped but I am still having some issues at low latency. I get glitching and popping in the audio every few minutes or so. Any idea how I can help this. The machine is XP 32 bit with 3 gig ram and the library of music is on an external. There's purposely no wireless card in the machine and this is sounding like it should be super simple yet I'm having these issues.

Am I missing something obvious with the audio card settings? What is the exact relationship between the buffer size and the latency setting of the card.

Other device than wifi can do this, lan, card reader or even a software manager waiting for a device.
Check with this utility that will help you : DPC latency checker
