Mixvibes Vfx Control

Postby gakto2009 on 23 Feb 2010, 16:26

Heay peeps...

Looking for as much info as possible on Vfx...

My local club is has been waiting on the Vfx software and are still using Producer video.

i've not had the chance to play with Vfx nor do i know much about it...

would you say its ready for a professional application such as this, what are your thoughts on required hardware to run it.

would you say it needs someone with a proper knowledge of the mixvibes software to use to its potential?

(at the moment the DJ plays the music and videos, and a monkey mixes the video via external MIDI control.)

any info would be great so i can decide if offering Vfx as an install option would be worth it as yet...

regards,
Bryan

Vfx Control is only available with the hardware controller at this point. It's a much better product for video than Producer ever was. Mostly because it was devlopped witht he sole purpose of delivering a perfecty audio/video mix :D A lot of new cool features too. def a good recommandation for a club.

One of the major thing for me is the HD support on the output.

It is actually the higher video output quality you can achieve vs. SL video plug, V*J, Pio DVJ1000... so for me in a club it's a must with all these wide screen arround.

Thanks for the info guys, but what about stability? i'm not going to be able to offer a great deal of support on it not knowing much about it myself so do you reckon it could be setup and left to run as it should without any troubles, at least until update time...

naturally i would be onsite for the first couple of live night just in case it flops but i made the mistake of letting them know it was in the shops and their pushing for it quite promptly...

i'm leaning on buying it myself then selling it on to them when i get to grips with it, but your info would help with the sales pitch LOL

It's stable now & going to be more & more stable.
When it's used with Mixvibes controller the mapping is perfect.
The software itself is a brother of DVS/Producer range with the same MIDI features & of course vinyl & CD time code.

Hello, I have a few questions. Hopefully they can/will be answered. All the preview videos I have seen show just audio being played with the video effects working. My question is about playing already produced music videos. Do all the transitions and effects work on them as well?

What would be the comparison of Mixvibes Vfx Control vs the Denon DN-HC4500 DJ MIDI Controller and Rane serato mp4 mixer?

Hello,

I am using Vfx since three days and purchased some music videos which I try to mix in sync. All the effects work on the video and/or audio - this is your decision. As far as I could discover you have three options:
1.) Effect on audio
2.) Effect on video
3.) Effect on video AND audio

If anybody can read this and it is bullsh*t please correct me!

Cheers,

Steve
