I´m just wondering as I´m looking at the deejay trim as well, mostly because of the 3 USB ports which is really great for additional Controllers 2,2ms latency seems quite high to me, although it really isn´t, i get 1,3ms with the U46 and 0,7 with the Audio8 (which i just sold btw cause NI´s Support suc**)

It's all down to how powerful your laptop/PC is, and not just how good your sound card/interface is. 2.2 m/s is very good compared to other cards of a similar price.

44100Hz at 96/2ms
I could not get my U46 to such small values and I agree with Jim, it depends on your computer.

P.S.: Why does the NI devices su**?

Oh this is interesting! I thought it is vice versa: higher sample rate means more data that has to be processed so the CPU is busier and the latency will increase. Nice recommendation that I have to try! But recording in 48kHz does not work for me. Okay, technically there is no problem but my radio station accepts only 44.1kHz mp3s. Months back I sent in a mp3 with 48kHz that was not streamed by the server, it was skipped automatically. But if the latency decreases I will use Cross with 48kHz and record with 44.1kHz. Thanks for the hint j-kut! Greetings, Steve

No Prob Steve! It uses your Processor a little more, but if you set it to the same buffersize you´ll automatically have lower latency by factor which you increase the Sample rate. In your Case it would be: 2.2ms *44,1/48 =2.0....ms Anyone please correct me if i´m wrong here.
