Vinyl indicator on screen will not stop moving

Postby takeshi9139 on 14 Jan 2011, 09:22

Hi.
I've been having this recurring problem.

While trying to choose second song while another song is playing on Deck 1, I try to drag and drop the second song on Deck 2. The thing is that the "vinyl" and running time indicated on the screen keeps on moving (even when the record/turntable has stopped) which prohibits me from dropping a second song onto Deck 2. When I listen to Deck 2 by itself, it sounds like (and the screen indicates) the record is moving very, very slowly even if the needle is off the record.

I know it's not vibrations shaking the needle because even when I take the needle off the record of Deck 2, the "screen indicated vinyl" and time, too, is still running.

It's very frustrating because I may be in the middle of a set and I can't load a second song!! I then have to stop, restart the program and start over.

Please help. This problem is pretty irritating.

Thanks!
Matt

You've got noise in your input, the system believe there is a signal and so move along.

How do I minimize/nullify any input noise?

My RCA cords are fine, my turntables are fully grounded...

Thanks!

There are filters that you can connect via RCA. These compensate noises in a very great bandwidth.

If you invert both decks and your issue also change side, then the issue is from a deck.
