U-Mix 44 set up

Postby bjbalk on 10 Dec 2010, 00:08

Hello mixvibes family. First time on. I have been DJing for several years. I recently perchased the U-Mix 44 to go with my Cross DJ software. The interface seems to only play on one channel. Is this something of a common defect with this unit or do I need to upgrade ? Any help is appreciated Thanks! J Beezy

You need to install the asio drivers of the U-Mix44 and select it into Cross : downloads.php?cat=56

Hello family its been awhile. I have been doing live sound for a few months. But now that it is getting hot outside I am picking up on DJ gigs. My question is I noticed the difference between Cross DJ 1.4 and 1.5 is the control modes(absolute, relative etc.). I have the interface connected correct to the laptop and cd players but the control disc are not responding ( yes I am able to us my external mixer on both channels). Is that a patch download or an upgrade. That would seem to fix my problem unless I am missing something in my current software. Thanks! J Beezy

u mean timecode cds? those wont work with Cross DJ, only with Cross!
check the compare chart and consider an upgrade to Cross if u wanna use timecode cds and/or vinyl

Hello Family; Can anyone help me with my calibration issue. I upgraded to Cross to solve my last issue of cd time code . When I click the calibration cue it does not change my very low percent rating ( 0% quality). I should be at 100% quality or close.. No happenings. In reading the manual I may have bad RCA cords. Besides that is there anything you all know that may help. Also I changed my mixer to Pioneer djm400. My other mixer had a bad hum and bleed over. Thanks!!

first: enter your new Cross serial# into the form you did with the crossdj one
second: i think you have too loud incoming signals. check if the inputs are selected correctly (phono/line) then reduce the levels of the line signal till it gets to at least ~95% quality
