if available, try a freeware version of SAMPLITUDE (SE or something). It is a multitracker-studio but you can easily record and edit songs with it. And you might use ANY soundcard with ANY driver in windows, also ASIO (which is recommended because you can also use VSTi in SAMPLITUDE). I got a free version in a magazine once and with one of my MIDI-Controller keyboards. Hope you find one... If you fail: you might spend 15 euros for a full version of SAMPLITUDE 2008 or younger. I did this because it has an amazing CD-burning engine which keeps the redbook standard and can easily manage indexes in mixes you might burn down. In germany you might take a look at CONRAD.de or PEARL.de for it.

Hope this helps.

This product is now discontinued and will not have any new update from ourside (MixVibes).
Only ESI might give you something new for this soundcard.

I know that the mixvibes product will not have updated but we know that the issue exist on the MAYA 44 and MAYA 44 SE.

I was hoping maybe somebody of mixvibes could report the issue to ESI.

I did try but they told it was a SE edition, so the wouden't help.

Anyway, thanks a lot for the troubleshooting ;)

Great News, I have tested it with Samplitude and the record works correctly.

So in other words, the record works only with ASION.

This is clearly a driver issue.

Could someone which is a owner of a MAYA 44 (NOT SE version) report the issue to ESI (uksupport@esi-audio.com) ?

I already did but they don't support me since i am a SE version, they don't want to know more.

If hte record only work in ASIO, this is not a driver issue : this is a windows issue.
WDM is handled by Windows and asio by the manufacturer drivers.

Ah, this is really bad knews, i am afraid there is no hope to be able to record in Directx before long time :( :(

Support@MixVibes wrote:Ok, your version of DVS is outdated I don't think it support W7 and the maya44 usb is well known to be very special :
- always use the same usb port
- remove the soundcard when switching the computer off because in some case, the usb is still powered and on the next reboot, the system don't see the soundcard due to the fact that it was already switched on (no detection).

Hello, this is what you wrote some earlier and indeed, i think you are right.

Mixvibes DVS LE works on Windows 7 but the sound quaility is clearly not equal as on WIndows XP.

I will have to mix on XP until i get cash to buy a controller and Mixvibes Cross.

Thanks for all your support.
