I remember that I have issue with my VAIO that is a i3, I couldn't lower the latency and with DPC latency checker it was always red and yellow.

If you don't have an ac adaptor, try with an active usb hub.

I was just talking of a bad experience with a i3 cpu on my VAIO and it wasn't the same issue as yours.

If it was working and isn't anymore maybe an update have broken something, do you use windows update or so ? Can you put the computer back to off the shelves state ? or try on another user session/account ?

I was updating windows by live updater. But when i reinstall windows problem was again without updating win, only clear install from factory and mixvibes.

With another user with administator rules didnt help.

But when is u46 connected windows play sounds from different sound card. Skype makes beep over U46 but youtube play over integrated sound card to headphones in same time. ..???

When i now try to play sound from decks over mixvibes and over directx.Program looks like playing but with out sound. And when i set for repro out channel 12 of U46 ..sound plays from repro of notebook...??? Can be?

So i try play sound over Ableton. Starts with integrated sound directx ok,but when i change it to asio U46 Ableton stop playing sound.

It Looks like driver colision isnt it?

Okay, i'm getting a little desperate here.
I used my soundcard and cables (also the usb cable) on a friends laptop with mixvibes and it worked perfectly.
Came home and reconnected everything by the book, re-installed my v3 driver after uninstalling the asio4all, started mixvides and ran the installwizard.
Everything okay untill calibration point, no signal from turntables...
Yes i have a signal from the turntable, yes i have a working driver, yes the cables are connected properly but no it won't work!
Please help me because when i won't get it working like it should this week, then exit Mixvibes and i will have to look for other DVS software.

I understand how frustrating this is but :
- it work on your friend's laptop
- you are having issue even out of MixVibes (Ableton)

So there is something between your computer and this soundcard.
What kind of drivers do you use for the chipset and the cpu ? are they windows generic ones, or from the manufacturer ?

Well, the laptop is a Sony vaio with i7 cpu and it runs windows 7 64 bit. I didn't change any drivers and i also couldn't find any updates from the date when my problems started.
The strange thing is that everthing worked, i played a set on 29-10 without problems. Next day at home there's no signal from the turntables anymore.
I will try to see what drivers my laptop is using now.
Which should be better? Manufacturers or Windows?

*edit the cpu driver is a windows driver

Well, you won't believe it, but my problem has just been solved...
Just for testing i uninstalled the Mixvibes v3 driver, deleted the folder "Mixvives" in which the driver was installed and then cleaned the registry with CCcleaner.
http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner
After that i installed the ESI U46 driver,
http://driverscollection.com/?H=U46%20SE&By=ESI
went to my DJ booth, and everything worked!
Don't ask me how or why, because in the past i couldn't get it working with this driver, but now it does.
Anyway, knowing it's working now i can go to rest. Testing the system will happen later this week to be sure everything is stable.
I lowered my latency to 192, which should be around 3 to 4 ms?
That wouldn't work in my former setup, so there is also improvement at first sight...

Hope you can do something with this info.
keep us informed!

Good luck and good night!
