The sound is lost (cut) or does it try to jump back to where it was ? i am using control vinyl, acer computer with 160 gb,intel pentium dual core proccessor 2.0 ghz/667 mhz on it, factory fresh,320 gb iomega prestige external hard drive for music.U-Mix44 interface.
Does it happen with music from the internal hard drive. where do i put the latency at?speed 192,256,..
256 is a good start then try to go low if your setup allow it. 2nd question, how about control cd's not reacting right on my stanton c 324s,they play but my effects on players don't work,scratching/effects and will they work with this program?
You shouldn't use effects, master tempo and anything that will change the control signal. Concerning the scratch there should be no issue as long as you have correctly set the system. You need to lower the input level to 9 if it isn't done yet. umix_w7.JPG

im not using any of the internal hard drive for music.it cuts off quickly like when you get a power surge or sounds like when you move a bad power cord from wall outlet.,but everything is new..always seems to happen when im mixing into a new song, levels are ok,dont know what it is..

If it is only with new songs then it must be the analyze process, so you should pre analyzed all your files (once) before playing them.
I asked for the internal drive because some times you can have usb dropouts with external ones. So you should test a few files on internal drive to see how it acts.

ok ill try the internal hard drive.thanxs.what would you recomend for an external hard drive or how would you set it up(the DVS Ultimate program)also is asio the best for set up or multi ,kernal.and whats the difference between them.how do i pre analyze music and how do you add your music? i use scan the f drive (externa hard drive)then it goes to about 364 songs then it stops and i try it again and it goes to almost 2000 songs.then i play my music files .is this correct way ??? sorry for so many questions but why don't they give a detailed manual on this program, not a 6 page install process..

Hi tonedog1, 1. use ASIO! It's the low latency driver for your U-Mix sound card - everything else is not bearable for external control. 2. use an internal hard drive. Do not use external hard drives if you want to savely avoid drop outs. USB is not a good choice for real time data transfer - this is simply a PC issue. 3. pre-analyse your songs by selecting them and right-click on the selection. Choose "analysing peaks and BPM". MixVibes analyses very fast but it's grabbing all the resources it can get (and that's the way it should be to my opinion) Therefore it's just a case of "emergency" to analyse files while loading the song. 4. optimize your Win 7 to background services a.s.o. if not already done. Tips & tricks will be found in another MixVibes forum. 5. follow the advices of the support team good luck
