I have 2 sound cards but can not seperate for cue monitoring

Postby brockx on 25 Jul 2010, 02:54

really simple, i have 2 sound cards and i can not seperate the audio. i have seen several forum posts with no real answers, i have been messing with this for 3 hours, and with virtual DJ it took 30 seconds to setup, i am beggining to think that this software is inferior... please help

i have a sound card for my output audio that go to my speakers that the potential "crowd" would be listening to.

and

i have another sound card that my headphones are plugged in for cue monitoring so i can match and mix

i do not have this problem with virtual DJ, just the fact the discover does not properly map with vdj.

so does the mixvibes Cross software support 2 sound cards, so that i can assign one for audio output and one for headphone cue monitoring?

p.s.the type of hardware (soundcards) should not be dependant in order to accomplish what i am trying to accomplish considering no other DJ software has this problem.

Having 2 sound cards in Directsound mode and having 2 sound cards in Asio mode is not the same league.
Just use asio4all to agregate them and then select asio4all has a sound card.

I have a PC and am having the same issue, and agree type of sound card does not matter, other apps I have used all have the options regardless. I have asio etc, and have gone through several posts on here as well...Im starting to think theres some upgrading you guys need to do for sure....
