Cross on usb drive

I just ordered mixvibes Cross, butr my laptop doesnt have cd rom. (because I mostly use my denon dns 1200) can I transfer the installation disk to usb stick then install

I don't see why not. Just copy the files of the installation disc to a folder on the USB stick.

I always download Cross updates to my home PC then transfer the file via a USB stick to my gig laptop. It works for me :) I do the same for my sound card and controller driver updates.

My gig laptop very rarely goes online, only to get updates for my OS.

For some reason it didnt work for me. when i clicked on the usb drive installation I kept getting this black box that looks like the entrance to the ms dos screen prompt.
I ended up getting an external cd rom and it just installed. Now Im finding out that the version is 1.2, so im gonna update. thanks
