ION Discover DJ works intermittently

No it isn't Snow doing this, it can't be a software issue.

If it is not snow, is it mixvibes?

once again:
-Connected to stereo via 3.5mm jack = frozen platters (all else works)
-Connected to stereo via io DJ Numark (rca) = frozen platters (all else works)

-Not connected to stereo = flawless perfect precise performance (only problem is i'm the only one who can hear it)

Again : the software don't have a clue of what is hooked to the audio outputs.
