problem with inputs in u46

ok, when i connect to the inputsto the turntables the music sounds very rough, like the song has too much bass and its all scratchy...ive tried multiple wires but im pretty sure something else is wrong.
can anyone help me?

Your mixer should be on LINE not PHONO and check your Cross settings.

im not using a mixer for that same reason, cause i dont know how to connect it yet...but the tables are connected to the u46 card and the card to the computer. it messes up from the card to the tables...and when i calibrate the vinyl it gets all weird.. :evil:

I don't understand. You didn't connect a mixer and you're using a U46 : where is the sound coming from ?
