Serious persisting problem!!!

Postby Dj NB on 03 Sep 2010, 19:25

I'll be as short as can be and explain this situation as best as I can. I posted this problem recently in betatesters section, but I guess I ccan get help better like this. MY Cross IS NOT WORKING. I tried millions and millions of combinations, I even put new copy of windows and still nothing. The tracks and twitching and glitching. sound is horrible. I tried speed, hybrid and tempo- no results. tried various combos with modes- again nothing. I thought of installing older version of Cross, still nothing. The original form the cd, copy of Cross nothing no results. I am soooooo nervous I left my tts now and I am going to some place that I'll be at peace coz truly people I am very stressed. I even thought of making video for you to hear and listen to the sound and everything else by yourself, but I just can work right now. I will go now and if you write something thx in forwards, but I'll be here tomorrow or so coz I just can function right now. I am sorry if I look mad but I am so aggravated and I was a secong from breaking every peace of DJ equipment i own!!!

Have you optimated your computer for audio software? http://forum.mixvibes.com/viewtopic.php?f=207&t=11532

I am not sure if you did so, because you wrote nothing about it. If not this is your solution, I guess my friend!

Greetings,

Steve

EDIT: Try to set you audio cache to 0% !!!!
Viele Grüße,
Cheers,
A plus,
Steve

Does it happen with any soundcard ? (internal, external).
If external on different usb port ?

The audio stream look broken for me but not inside the software.

It remember me an other post with a Core i7 and there was a performance scheme somewhere in the system set to game that was doing this.

Did you try an other computer ?

Its the same with any card, I tried Fa 101 and RME and even then its the same, the sound pops, the coursor is going nuts like I am moving the needle as crazy as I can etc. On the other hand DVS 7 is running great. So strange, I will say agian, I installed even a new copy of windows, optimized the system, but no change. PLS HELP I am sooo frustrated.

You could try decreasing your ASIO buffer in your soundcard control panel.

When it's set at a very low sample rate it can cause strange things to happen to the software and can cause poor audio quality.

I have seen this in my old DJ software I used to use.

It happens even with the highest sample rate. It is like a skipping, when you move the record it goes crazy a bit, but if you try to scratch its like somebody is kicking the turntable from a side. So far no change of sample rates, modes and so on, has effected it. Strangest thing is that even new computer and new window, and new install is not making any diff....
