Working on specifying a new design for the Cross player and I was wondering out of pure scuriosity if any of you used the Reverse feature on the Cross or DVS7 player ?

Well its seems that I am the only one that use it. As a scratch DJ I often use custom samples so reverse gives me that twang, just to make the sample better!

well, i never used it... but i would like to have an effect where i could play reverse and when i switch back to forward it would keep on playing from the location where it would have been if i wouldn't have used the reverse... i don't know the name for this effect. But pure reverse? I never needed this function.

You are right my friend! It is often a matter of what you are spinning i.e. if you spin small hip hop samples the reverse feature is a gift. A friend of mine owns the CDJ 1000 where there is the reverse function. It is funny to hear it but I would never do that in a mix.
Nevertheless if there is a need for others why not implementing it?

saving space on the desktop might be the reason for the question... think about usual resolutions of small TFTs or even netbooks...

it's already there !! I was just wondering how useful it was to people out here.

I like the reverse on the CDJ 1000. very useful in breaks. you just shake the switch on and off and it makes the audience go nuts

Removing the button on the GUI but keep the feature there activated by keyboard or MIDI should slice the trouble in half...
