U-Mix44 and virtual DJ

Postby major94 on 19 Aug 2010, 04:33

Ok so im running Virtual DJ, serato vinyls, and the U-Mix. I can get it all to play, but when I stop play on the right tablem you can see on the screen that it moves baxk and forth a tiny bit. And if there is a song loaded on that side it will scratch it back and forth. and there is nothing i can do. Tha table is standing still and it still moves on the screen. Any ideas on what I can do to fix this?

Thanks in advance

sounds like you need phono pre-amps....or a turntable grounding problem

also forgot this. The output lights are lite, but the input lights are not.

I have never heard of phono preamos before. Is this common?

a phono pre-amp just boosts the turntable out-puts from phono level
to line level.....
its not a phono pre-amp problem...your sound card has phono pre-amp in the sound card...( some d.j software like mixvibes dont need phono preamps , it has pre-amp in the software.....I also think V.DJ also has its own pre-amps )

are you grounding your turntables to the sound card or to the mixer..??

It can also be a Audio vibration problem

hi major94,

this is definetively a easy-to-solve calibration setting issue (Threshold, noise, etc....) with Virtual DJ. Since I own VirtualVinyl (which is actually VDJ Pro) I know that their forum/support is nearly ;) as good as the MixVibes forum. They will help you, if you are a registered Pro user.

Well thank you Barren Fell. I guess all I hade to do was turn the silence up on that deck in the config and all is solved. Your comment about noise made me go to google and research it. And BAM I am now spinning succesfully.

Thanks to all for the help.
