iMac & Ion Discover DJ w/Mixvibes Cross LE

I just purchased the ion Discover DJ with mixvibes Cross LE, the software is installed and works on my computer but the board (mixer) does not work. The lights on the board are lit (all except the scratch button) but nothing happens. It doesn't do anything. Any idea what it could be? I'd really hate returning the product but would have no choice if I am unable to use it properly. PLEASE ADVISE! I am currently running Mac OS X Version 10.6.3, Processor 3.06GHz Intel Core i3

I updated already, still no luck

It seems as if the hardware is not installed correctly, seems to be a river issue as far as I can see. Can you reinstall it on a different usb port?
