A clean uninstallation with the use of a reg cleaner should help you. As an advice install the new stuff (DVS AND audio interface driver) into a totally different location. This helped me out in former times.

Again I don't understand how the ESI could work better than the MV : it's (supposed to be) the same...

When the mixvibes driver came out I asked djegun if there is a need for me to reinstall the new mixvibes driver because I was running the esi 3.0 driver. He said both are the same and there is no need to reinstall. The mixvibes drivers just looks different, nothing more.

I'm sorry for the long time it took for me to reply...
I went on hollidays...

Here's what happend:
After reading the last message i wanted to remove one of the drivers.
I did not see the problem of having two because it worked fine before on my old computer.
When starting up mixvibes everything worked fine, and i did not make any changes then.
So now my mixvibes works as it should, i allready had a gig with it on location. I still have the two drivers on it.
Tonight i'm going to remove the asio4all and see what happens.

I will keep you informed.

Btw, thanks for the replies so far!

Okay, after removing the asio4all driver my system keeps on running as it should.
So now i've got it working with the 3.0 mixvibes driver.
I haven't got a clue why it did not work in the first place but i'm happy with the result now.

Thx for all the support!

Not that much later i discovered that the cause of my problem also was a connected usb mouse.
After disconnecting everything worked fine, and as soon the mouse was connected my soundcard stopped working.
So it had nothing to do with my drivers.
After some googling i guess that it is a common Windows 7 64 bit problem which still has no solution.
Today they released service pack 1 and i'm installing it now. I hope this will help, keep you all informed.
