Vfx audio problem...

Postby aivar00 on 29 Jun 2010, 02:30

Hi, everybody!
I'm new on MixVibes, but been DJ/VJ about 20 years...
Problem is, i did everything like on manual - standalone setup... But when i push play, for pre-listening, no sound at all(when i turn fader up to output, there it comes..for output only, not from phones). I wanna prepare track witch is on player..
Second thing:
Bigger problem is with that unacceptable noise on output..

Thanks for help..

Aivar

Ok, simple setup:
Computer ASUS N61JQ, everything else, soundcard is built in Vfx Control.
Program runs great, but only those things troubleing me..
2 main things: no audio on preview when file is on deck, and this noise (ground i guess)..

There's must be some way...

Standalone mode : master=1&2 and headphones=5&6

For the buzz noise : your usb might be underpowered, try to use an active usb hub.

It sounds like you may have a ground loop problem, It's a quite common problem, and quite simple to solve. You need a Ground loop Isolator.

Something like this

I've used one in the past and it worked for me. I would start here
