info on c d track spacing

Postby daniel clark on 18 Jun 2010, 02:29

:?: :?: in order for a c d player to seperate tracks, how much of a silence do i need to put in a mix between songs :?: :?: the mix recordings i make need to have the spacing for the cd to reconize the seperate tracks,i can go into creative wave editor and insert silence between songs, how much, or am i on the wrong assumption :?: :?: the final product would be the mix with the cd player reconizing the next track instead of one long track

While I was using Wavelab years ago (last century :)) I always used the markers. I don't know how they are called but you can add them to your mix and so you do not need to insert silence. So once exported your mix runs fluently and you can skip tracks without any problem and without silence between tracks.

You don't need to insert silence (blank space in a mix !!!), you can also put markers with Nero (burning software).

This must be it! I will have a look at google and see if I find a tutorial for you daniel!

EDIT: Found something for the nero wave editor: Click on Edit -> Insert track split so you should be able to split the whole set into parts. I suggest to use the zoom to manually move the markers to the right position to get a clean transition i.e. new kick -> new track ;)

I found nothing for the creative software but I guess that it works the same...somehow...sry!
