Cannot get 2nd USB sound card to work with ASIO

Postby djmojojojo on 10 Jun 2010, 09:48

I need help setting up my "Virtual 7.1 ch sound USB card" to work with MixVibes Cross 1.3.2. I do see it under the perferences -> using asio driver and i select the routing mode for dual setero, the master goes to the main speakers (realtek HD audio internal card) and the CUE goes to the second output which are labeled USB headphone set. For some reason i never hear anything come out of the USB speakers. I think the setup is correct because when i click on the headphones icon on the program i can hear it on both output speakers but never on my USB headphones. I tried updating my internal Realtek drivers to the latest one, also re-installed the USB drivers multiple times and now I do not get any sound from it at all even though the light is blinking indicating that it is suppose to be working. I checked the speaker properties for the USB drive and it is using my Windows VIsta x64 Generic USB audio drivers. When i try to test it out nothing comes out. I bought this type of sound card from amazon - http://www.amazon.com/Channel-External- ... B0027EMHM6
and it did not come with any CD's or drivers. Can you please help me out?

  good morn and welcome to mix vibes, there are posting with info regarding setting up two sound cards in asio4all, i went thru it myself,,part of my inability to get the info from the various posting and post them in a reply will slow this down a little bit :frown: , :?: :?: info on the installed sc details and specs, info on the usb sc ,web page doesnt give a whole lot, then the info on the comp spec., the software purched (mixvibes ).

1 read the instructions on the asio 4all ,you can tie s c together with this program
2if you know how to post screen shots of your asio control panel do so ,so that we know what you got
3 worst possible outcome is that you need to get a different sc. see posting in help Cross audio config changes. there is a workable solution,,I didnt give up  will help you get it also

Yes the sound card i bought does not have a lot of information. Here is a list of information that you have asked and i placed it on this screen shot. Unforunately, it will not show my setup anymore because now it freezes and i will try again to re-install some drivers

i troubleshooted the ASIO driver and looked around the forums to fund out i was doing things right but the USB sound card ti bought was defective. I will go with daniel's option 3 to return the crappy card and get something better. Anyone has any better ideas or if i can use this spdif output for something useful? My main concern is to try to get the master on one output and the cue on another such as headphones so i can mix the songs seamlessly. Thank you for look.

You should uncheck everything and left :
- Realtek HD audio ouptut
- Out 2*48Hz

You don't need more
